The classic basic course offers you the opportunity to get a taste of cross-country skiing.

Choose your next cross-country ski trail as you wish: the free ski bus will quickly transport you to the starting point of your winter sports experience. After hours of sport in the snow, enjoy a well-deserved break in a ski hut or restaurant near the cross-country ski trails: bacon bread, alpine cheese and Jagatee are guaranteed to taste twice as good!
Classic, skating and high-altitude trails
The best way to learn proper cross-country skiing technique is with a cross-country skiing course. Usually, just a few hours are enough to master the perfect movement sequence. The expert advisors at the ski rental & shop in Abtenau will be happy to help you choose the right cross-country skiing equipment for you. For classic cross-country skiing and skate skiing, the equipment differs considerably in length and quality. Now nothing stands in the way of your enjoyment in the Salzburger Land cross-country skiing region:
- Abtenau: 6 trails, 3 connecting routes, floodlit trail at the Karkogelbahn valley station. The floodlit trail is illuminated until 21.00 p.m. Changing room and toilet facilities directly at the floodlit trail and at the start of Auloipe 1 and Auloipe 2.
- Postalm: 3 classic and skating trails with a length of 5-12 km, combined as a round of a total of 24,5 km.
- Lammertal-Dachstein West region: 215 km of classic cross-country ski trails at various altitudes.
