The Karkogel is a popular starting mountain with a height of 1.100 m and is a worthwhile area for beginners and experts alike. With the Karkogel cable car, you can reach the starting point of your exciting flight tour in just a few minutes, regardless of whether you want to experience a tandem flight, take a leisurely soaring flight or undertake an extensive cross-country flight.

Which conditions do I have to fullfill?
In general, you should have a normal physical and psychic Be fit. To start, you just need to be able to walk a few steps.
Our guidelines:
Size: 1.40 – 2.00 meters
Weight: 35 – 120 kg

What do I have to take with me?
When tandem flying, you are at different altitudes and you also feel a constant “headwind” of around 35 km/h while flying.
Ideal are:
– long-sleeved layers with a wind stop (onion principle)
– long, comfortable trousers
– Mountain-proof, ankle-high shoes! (If necessary, normal sports/trail/mountain shoes with a good profile will do)
What if I am afraid of heights or flying?
I have had many passengers who were afraid of heights or fears of tandem paragliding.
Up to now, I have had not a single passenger was afraid while flying.
The reason for this is that you lose contact with the ground during the flight and therefore the fear of heights cannot spread.
If you do get scared during the flight, I will of course take care of you and, if you wish, bring you to the landing site as quickly as possible.
You can communicate with me throughout the entire flight.
Bad weather?
In case of uncertain weather conditions, the flight may be postponed or cancelled. You will be informed of any changes in a timely manner.
How long is the flight?
The flight duration varies between 10 and 30 minutes. This depends on the weather conditions.
Is tandem paragliding safe?
Paragliding is classified as a high-risk sport. However, it is not dangerous in any way if you are properly trained.
The risk is spread across different pillars:
1. Pilot: every tandem pilot undergoes training and must pass a variety of examinations and tests, plus demonstrate above-average flight performance.
2. Weather: Every day I check information from different weather models and get specific forecasts for wind at different heights and air stratification. If it looks critical, we prefer to stay on the ground.
