Stage 11-15: Tennengau pleasure and adventure region

The certified long-distance hiking trail "Salzalpensteig" leads from Lake Chiemsee to Lake Hallstatt on the trail of salt. The salt, which was won in the mountains and is still partly mined, brought a lot of customs and culture to this region. The breathtaking mountain world with many natural beauties offers a dignified backdrop for this special hiking trekking tour, which is certified with the "Hiking Seal Premium Trail".

You can hike an interesting part of this in one week in the Tennengau region of enjoyment and adventure. This holiday region south-east of the Mozart city of Salzburg also has various sights ready for you, such as the salt mines on Dürrnberg near Hallein, the Bluntautal nature reserve in Golling, the Lammerklamm in Scheffau and the summer toboggan run in Abtenau. A wonderful view from the Stuhlalm at the foot of the Gosaukamm on the Bischofsmütze and a wonderful view of the Gosausee and the Dachstein glacier near Russbach are also part of it. The gourmet region "Tennengauer Almkäse und Berglamm" also promises a special stay in Tennengau from a culinary point of view.
